Pianist and educator Giselle Nguyen commands the stage with a personality that is at once engaging. She has performed across the world both as a solo and collaborative artist- a choral,orchestral, instrumental, vocal, musical theatre accompanist, and with chamber music groups.She was chosen as the pianist to perform with the Cornell Symphony Orchestra in the U.S.premiere performance of The Flood- Requiem- composed by the world-renowned composer Douwe Eisenga- at Cornell College. Her summers are always filled with participation in musical festivals and competitions, including New York University’s Summer Piano Intensive, New York Piano Festival and Competition, Orfeo Music Festival in Italy, International Piano Festival in Poland, Chopin 2nd Piano International Competition in Thailand, and British Isles Music Festival in the United Kingdom. Besides performing and collaborating, Giselle is open to other musical participation. She was selected by Cornell Summer Research Institute to do a fully funded summer of immense research on the analysis, interpretation, and performance of Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas.

Giselle loves sharing her talents and insight with students of all ages, especially young children.In addition to teaching private online piano lessons, she leads online group music classes for young children (18 months- 3 years old). She helps students prepare for the ABRSM examination.

With a Graduate Fellowship and Collaborative Piano Fellow scholarship, Giselle is currently pursuing her Master’s in Piano Performance degree at Longy School of Music under the tutelage of the Steinway artist and concert pianist Spencer Myer. Prior to her Master’s degree, Giselle was one of the few to be awarded a full scholarship to study Bachelor’s at Cornell College.Studying Piano Performance with Fulbright Scholar Dr. James Martin, she graduated with Cum Laude honors and distinction in the Music major.
